Job summary

Beacon Health System in Indiana seeks an experienced lactation services specialist to provide management and education for expectant and new parents, including in-patient rounds and outpatient consultations.

You will oversee the rental and sale of breast-feeding equipment, collaborate with the Mothers/Baby units, and contribute to policy development and staff training.

Requirements include BSN, Indiana RN license, IBCLC certification, BCLS/CPR, and experience with diverse populations.

Qualifications

• Must have Indiana State RN licensure.
• BSN required with ability to obtain IBCLC certification within 2 years.
• Current BCLS/CPR certification.
• Experience with lactation, breastfeeding issues, and education programs.
• Spanish language ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside lactation rounds for inpatients and arrange on-call coverage.
• Plan and teach classes for new mothers and staff education sessions.
• Coordinate breast pump rentals and retail equipment within Home Medical Equipment.
• Support development of lactation-related standards and hospital information.
• Communicate effectively with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
