Job summary

Community Health Network is seeking a Lactation Consultant RN in Maternity to educate, assist, and support breastfeeding for women and children within our maternity services. You will promote breastfeeding, work as part of the healthcare team, and help families with lactation needs in the hospital setting.

The role requires RN licensure in Indiana and IBCLC certification on hire, with a preference for those with lactation experience in a hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of NLN, CCNE, ACEN, or NLN CNEA accredited nursing program or three years of related nursing experience.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Indiana per the Nurse Licensure Compact.
• IBCLC certification required upon hire.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience; lactation consultant experience in a hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Educate, assist, and support breastfeeding for women and children.
• Promote, support, and protect breastfeeding as part of the care team.
• Collaborate with maternity staff to integrate lactation services into patient care.
