Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Wentworth-Douglass Hospital is seeking a lactation consultant RN to support breastfeeding in the NICU and postnatal care. You will educate mothers, assess feeding, and create individualized care plans in collaboration with the care team.

The role requires an Associate's Degree in Nursing, an active RN license and BLS, plus CLC certification; IBCLC is preferred. Per diem, onsite at 789 Central Avenue with day shifts.

Qualifications

• RN license and BLS certification required.
• CLC Certification required.
• IBCLC Certification preferred.
• 1-2 years acute care nursing experience; lactation experience 1-2 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Educate mothers on breastfeeding benefits and proper latch, positioning, and feeding techniques.
• Provide guidance on pumping, storage, and handling of breast milk.
• Assess mothers/infants for breastfeeding issues and develop care plans.
• Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and pediatricians to support feeding strategies in NICU and elsewhere.
