Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Lactation Consultant to provide breastfeeding information and education to patients and families, assisting with establishment of lactation. This onsite role supports maternity and NICU patients at 81 Highland Avenue, Salem, MA.

Ideal candidates hold MA RN licensure, with preferred CLC or IBCLC credentials and 2–3 years of lactation experience. The position is 20 hours per week, with day shifts in a clinical setting and regular patient contact.

Qualifications

• RN license required (MA)
• Lactation credentials preferred (CLC/IBCLC)
• 2–3 years lactation consulting experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide lactation assessment, planning, education and instruction to patients and family
• Offer post-delivery consultative care to patients: breastfeeding/Chest feeding, family bonding and planning
• Evaluate patient responses and initiate changes as needed
• Coordinate and manage care for patients, including those with complex needs
• Educate maternity and NICU staff on breastfeeding information
