HauglandGroup, a privately owned Long Island, New York-based civil infrastructure and energy construction company, has an immediate opportunity for a Laborer to join our team.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform strenuous tasks in all weather conditions.
• Prior construction experience preferred, but many roles are entry-level.
• Ability to follow instructions and basic hand tools knowledge.
• High level of punctuality and dependability.
• Valid driver’s license is often required for commuting to different job sites.

Responsibilities

• Site preparation and cleanup, including debris removal, bracing and preparing materials.
• Load, unload, and transport construction materials around the site.
• Operate tools and small machinery such as cement mixers, drills, grinders, earth tampers, and small hoists.
• Assist carpenters, masons, and plumbers with measuring, cutting, and assembly tasks.
• Heavy lifting, lifting, pushing, and carrying heavy items while maintaining safety.
• Follow strict safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work area.

KeyFunctions:

• SitePrep&Cleanup:Cleaninghazards,removingdebris,settingupbracing,andpreparingmaterials.
• MaterialHandling:Loading,unloading,andtransportingconstructionmaterials(e.g.,cement,lumber)aroundthejobsite.
• Tool/MachineOperation:Operatingtoolslikeconcretemixers,drills,grinders,earthtampers,andsmallhoists.
• AssistingTrades:Supportingcarpenters,masons,andplumberswithtaskslikemeasuring,cutting,andassembling.
