As a Laborer, Aerial Crew, you will perform duties related to installing and repairing aerial telecommunications cable and ensure the scope of work performed meets customer standards.

What you'll do as a Laborer Telecom Aerial

• Provide tools, parts, and materials to crew members as needed
• Reposition or move bucket trucks, trailers, or equipment as directed
• Ensure daily inspection and maintenance of fleet vehicles and equipment, and document it. Licensed drivers may operate company vehicles to the job site.
• Complete door-tagging and resident notifications for construction activities before starting work each day
• Stock, clean, and maintain all company vehicles and equipment
• Perform hand digging with shovels and mechanical tools
• Direct/flag traffic flow according to local DOT guidelines
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/after-hours responsibilities as needed
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

What you'll need

• Be at least 18 years old
• Authorization to work in the U.S. for this company
• High School Diploma, GED, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (non-provisional) with an acceptable driving record
• Previous labor experience in telecommunications is a plus
• 0-1+ years of unskilled labor experience; telecommunications experience is a plus
• Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed, with or without assistance; pole climbing proficiency is a plus.
• Knowledge of aerial and underground cable installation in conformance with applicable codes and customer specifications (e.g., NEC Electrical Code).

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level at heights, in confined spaces, climb stairs, bend, stoop, stand, walk, lift up to 55 lbs, operate vehicles and heavy machinery
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard, and mouse
