Qualifications

• 0-1+ years of unskilled labor experience, preferably in telecommunications.
• Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Previous labor experience in telecommunications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide tools, parts, and materials to crew members.
• Perform hand digging using shovels and mechanical tools.
• Ensure maintenance of fleet vehicles and equipment.

Skills

We are looking for a Laborer to join our Aerial Crew team to help connect America. As a Laborer, Aerial Crew, you will perform duties related to installing and repairing aerial telecommunications cable, ensuring the scope of work meets customer standards.

What you’ll do as a Laborer Telecom Aerial

• Provide tools, parts, and materials to crew members as needed
• Reposition or move bucket trucks, trailers, or equipment as directed
• Ensure daily inspection and maintenance of fleet vehicles and equipment, and document it. If licensed, drive company vehicles to the job site
• Complete door-tagging and resident notifications for construction activities before starting work each day
• Stock, clean, and maintain all company vehicles and equipment
• Perform hand digging using shovels and mechanical tools
• Direct/flag traffic flow in line with local DOT guidelines
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/after-hours responsibilities as needed
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

What you’ll need

• Be 18 years or older
• Authorization to work in the U.S.
• High School Diploma, GED, or relevant experience
• Valid state driver’s license (non-provisional) and a good driving record
• Previous labor experience in telecommunications is a plus
• 0-1+ years of unskilled labor experience, preferably in telecommunications
• Able to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs with assistance. Capable of pole climbing or certified pole climber
• Knowledge of aerial and underground cable installation per applicable codes and standards

Physical abilities & exposures

• Work with arms above shoulder level at heights, in confined spaces, and remote locations; climb stairs; bend, stoop, stand, walk; lift up to 55 lbs; operate vehicles and machinery
• Occasionally use ladders, keyboards, and mice
