As a Laborer, Aerial Crew, you will perform duties related to install and repair aerial telecommunications cable and ensure scope of work performed is within standards required by customers.

What you’ll do as a Laborer Telecom Aerial

• Provide tools, parts, and materials to crew members as needed
• Reposition or move bucket trucks, trailers, or equipment as directed
• You will ensure daily inspection and maintenance of fleet vehicles and equipment is performed and documented. If appropriately licensed, drive company vehicles as needed to the jobsite.
• Ensure that door-tagging and resident notifications for construction activities are completed before starting work each day
• Stock, clean, and maintain all company vehicles and equipment
• Perform hand digging using shovels and mechanical tools
• Direct/flag traffic flow in line with local DOT guidelines
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/after-hours responsibilities as needed
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Previous labor experience in telecommunications is a plus
• You have 0-1 or more years of unskilled labor experience, in telecommunications (is a plus)
• Able to lift/carry 50lbs regularly and up to 75lbs as needed with or without assistance. You may be a certified pole climber or capable of demonstrating proficiency as a pole climber.
• You may have knowledge of installation of aerial and underground cables and support members in conformance with all applicable codes, regulations, and customer specifications (NEC Electrical Code, System and/or City Specifications).

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level at heights, in confined spaces and remote locations, climb stairs, bend, stoop, stand, walk, and lift up to 55 pounds, operate vehicle & heavy machinery
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard, and mouse
