As a Laborer, Aerial Crew you will perform duties related to install and and repair aerial telecommunications cable and ensure scope of work performed is within standards required by customers.

What you’ll do as a Laborer Telecom Aerial

• Provide tools, parts, and materials to crew members as needed
• Reposition or move bucket trucks, trailers, or equipment as directed
• You will ensure daily inspection and maintenance of fleet vehicles and equipment is performed and documented. If appropriately licensed, driave company vehicles as needed to jobsite.
• Ensure that door-tagging and resident notifications for construction activities are completed before starting work each day
• Stock, clean, and maintain all company vehicles and equipment
• Perform hand digging using shovels and mechanical tools
• Direct/flag traffic flow in line with local DOT guidelines
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours responsibilities as needed
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Previous labor experience in telecommunications is a plus
• You have 0-1 or more years of unskilled labor experience, in telecommunications (is a plus)
• Able to lift/carry 50lbs regularly and up to 75lbs as needed with or without assistance.You may be a certified pole climber or capable of demonstrating proficiency as a pole climber.
• You may have knowledge of Installation of aerial and underground cables and/or support members in conformance with all applicable codes, regulations, and customer specifications (NEC Electrical Code, System and/or City Specifications).

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level at heights, in confined spaces and in remote locations, climb stairs, bend, stoop, stand, walk and lift up to 55 pounds, operate vehicle & heavy machinery
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
