Responsibilities include:

1. Reporting to and assisting the immediate supervisor.
2. Performing quality work according to project specifications.
3. Managing tools and materials responsibly at the end of shifts.
4. Working effectively as part of a team.
5. Measuring distances from grade stakes, driving stakes, and stretching tight lines.
6. Grading stacks from lumber for reuse and leveling earth to fine grade specifications.
7. Assisting in pipe laying, excavations, and directing other laborers in concrete dumping.
8. Erecting shoring, braces, and sealing pipe joints.
9. Assisting with setting pumps and well-points, and supporting heavy equipment operators.
10. Directing truck drivers and scraper operators to maintain grades.
11. Working in concrete paving, using small power tools, and possibly leading a labor crew.
12. Exercising independent judgment in routine work and performing other related duties.
13. Adhering to safety policies, including drug and alcohol policies, and passing physical examinations as required.
14. Climbing ladders, working at heights, and in confined spaces.
15. Lifting up to 50 lbs., standing or walking for extended periods, and working on uneven surfaces.
16. Wearing personal protective equipment as required.
