Primary Responsibilities

• Report to and assist your supervisor.
• Perform quality work according to project specifications.
• Ensure all tools and materials are accounted for at the end of your shift.
• Work effectively as part of a team.
• Measure distances from grade stakes, drive stakes, and stretch tight lines.
• Grade stacks from lumber for reuse and level earth to fine grade specifications.
• Assist in pipe laying, excavations, and preparing subgrades.
• Direct other laborers in concrete dumping, erect shoring, and pipe sealing.
• Assist with setting pumps, well-points, and heavy equipment alignment.
• Manage truck and scraper operations to maintain grades.
• Work in concrete paving, occasionally using small power tools, and may serve as lead man.
• Exercise independent judgment and plan routine work efficiently.
• Comply with safety policies, including drug and alcohol policies.

Minimum Requirements

• Some experience in industrial, construction, or general labor.
