Job description

About the position:

This is a Flexible (Flex) NTE (not to exceed) position located at the Ft Eustis Golf Course on Joint Base Langley-Eustis VA - Ft Eustis location. Flex positions have no guaranteed hours but can work 0-40 hours per week. This position may be subject to holidays, nights, weekends, and on-call work.

This position is a NTE (not to exceed) October 31, 2025

Duties

1. Performs simple golf cart maintenance, such as replenishing fuel/charge levels, washing, and preparing carts for customer use.
2. Marks the course for cart control, moves control barriers, replaces worn or lost ropes and signs, and may mark hazard and drop areas.
3. Maintains ball washers, replaces tee towels and flags when needed, removes debris, empties garbage containers, and cleans flowerbeds.
4. Assists in the maintenance of course grounds and facilities using simple powered equipment such as clippers, weed trimmers, low-pressure sprayers, powered pavement vacuums, and wet vacuums or steam cleaners.
5. Digs ditches and holes where grading and sloping are not required, fills holes with dirt, and levels bumps using shovels, hand tampers, and rakes.
6. Digs holes for plants, irrigation systems, and tee boxes.
7. Performs other related work as assigned.

Qualifying Experience

No previous experience or training is required. Must be able to use, control, and clean common hand tools and simple power equipment. Must be able to follow oral and/or written instructions. Must be physically able to frequently lift and carry objects up to 40 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Must be able to actively bend, stoop, stand, reach, and work in awkward positions. Must successfully complete a pre-employment physical and a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).
