Overview:

A Laborer is a person with the skill and experience necessary to perform a variety of general construction activities under the direction of an experienced Job Foreman or Crew Leader. This position requires the ability to follow instructions and learn quickly from lead craftsmen.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform tasks across all areas of construction projects.
• Assist in layout, measuring, planning, and executing work activities.
• Move materials, forms, perform demolition, muck concrete, clean up sites, and other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Construction experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Proficient in the use of various power and hand tools.
• Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:

Valid Driver’s License required.

Security Clearance:

N/A

Physical Demands:

The physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, kneeling, handling objects, operating vehicles and equipment, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, talking, hearing, tasting, and smelling. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb ladders up to 60 feet is required. Tasks may involve crawling for 50 feet.

Work Environment:

Work is performed outdoors in various weather conditions, including snow, rain, and extreme temperatures. Exposure to mechanical parts, noise, fumes, airborne particles, and electrical hazards may occur.
