Do you have a passion for constructing safer communities and ensuring the reliable distribution of natural gas? If so, we have exciting opportunities for skilled Laborers/Gas Technicians to join our team! As a Gas Technician, you will play a vital role in piping residential and commercial natural gas services, securing the flow from meter to existing fuel lines, and ensuring the safe operation of customer appliances.

We are looking for highly motivated and talented individuals to join our team as Gas Technicians. This position involves working outdoors in diverse weather conditions, ensuring the uninterrupted supply of natural gas to our customers. Previous natural gas construction experience is preferred, but we will train eager candidates who are willing to learn and grow in this field. We seek both entry-level and experienced individuals. Base pay depends on qualifications and the specific county where work is performed (Prevailing Wage). We are hiring throughout Western, Central, Southern Tier, and the Capital Region of NY.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely and efficiently perform tasks related to natural gas infrastructure projects.
• Work on diverse job sites, including public right of ways, private properties, commercial establishments, and residential areas.
• Maintain, clean, and safely store equipment and materials.
• Follow instructions, guidelines, and industry standards to ensure safety and quality.
• Operate skid loaders or similar equipment as needed.

Qualifications: Level 1 – Base Pay Range: $21-$25/hr (Prevailing Wage)

• Ability to pass Operator Qualification Testing for Natural Gas work.
• Valid Driver's License, clean driving record, and/or CDL.
• Physical ability to lift and move objects up to 100 lbs.

Qualifications: Level 2 – Base Pay Range: $26-$32/hr (Prevailing Wage)

• Meet or exceed Level 1 requirements.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience with underground utility construction.
• Possession of NGA, Grid, or other recognized gas association qualifications (70 and 71).

General Requirements for Levels 1 and 2:

• High School Diploma or vocational training.
• OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 Certifications.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Proficiency in operating backhoes or similar equipment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends.
