Overview:
Laborer duties will include general labor duties related to telecommunications construction as directed by the Foreman/Supervisor.

Responsibilities:
- Perform all phases of underground construction, including loading, driving, delivery, digging, removal, and placement of various construction materials and equipment.
- Hand dig using shovel and mechanical tools.
- Install and maintain underground telecommunications cabling.
- Climb into and out of equipment such as trucks, backhoes, trenchers, etc.
- Operate or work around heavy equipment and machinery.
- Work in congested or remote areas.
- Maintain visual and audible contact with crew members and all moving or stationary objects for safe coordination.
- Perform general construction work under the direction of Foreman/Supervisor.
- Flagging, property or worksite restoration.
- Maintain safe working habits and conditions according to all regulations, procedures, and policies.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Basic knowledge of and ability to operate utility trucks and equipment safely.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and equipment.
- Effective communication skills.
- Regular and timely attendance.
- Ability to work at least 8 hours per day, 5 days a week, with potential overtime, after hours, weekends, or on-call as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
- At least 6 months of experience in utility construction.
- Ability to read prints and interpret utility maps.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, crouch, sit, bend, reach, climb, balance, crawl, lift, and handle objects in various positions.
- Work while wearing safety gear such as boots, glasses, and hardhat.
- Work in adverse weather conditions.
- Potential exposure to dust, fumes, or airborne pathogens.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs regularly and 100 lbs as needed.
