Overview:
Laborer duties will include general labor tasks related to telecommunications construction, as directed by the Foreman/Supervisor.

Responsibilities:
- Participate in all phases of underground construction, including loading, driving, delivery, digging, removal, and placement of various construction materials and equipment.
- Hand dig using shovel and mechanical tools.
- Install and maintain underground telecommunications cabling.
- Climb into and out of equipment such as trucks, cars, backhoes, trenchers, etc.
- Operate or work around heavy equipment and machinery.
- Work in congested or remote areas.
- Maintain visual and audible contact with crew members and all moving or stationary persons/vehicles/objects for safe coordination.
- Perform general construction work under the direction of Foreman/Supervisor.
- Flagging, property, or worksite restoration.
- Maintain safe working habits and conditions according to all regulations, procedures, and policies.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Basic knowledge of and ability to operate various utility trucks and equipment safely.
- Basic knowledge of and ability to use hand tools and equipment safely.
- Effective communication skills with customers and team members.
- Regular and timely attendance is essential.
- Ability to work at least 8 hours per day, 5 days a week, with potential overtime, after-hours, weekends, or on-call work.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
- At least 6 months of experience in utility construction.
- Ability to read prints and interpret utility maps.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, crouch, sit, bend, handle or feel with hands and fingers, reach high and low, and perform physical tasks such as climbing, balancing, crawling, lifting (up to 50 lbs regularly, up to 100 lbs as needed).
- Work while wearing safety gear such as boots, glasses, and hardhat.
- Work in adverse weather conditions including extreme heat, cold, wind, rain, snow, sleet, dust, and during challenging driving conditions.
- Potential exposure to dust, fumes, or airborne pathogens.
