Overview:
The Laborer will perform general labor duties related to telecommunications construction, under the direction of the Foreman/Supervisor.

Responsibilities:
- Perform all phases of underground construction, including loading, driving, delivery, digging, removal, and placement of various construction materials and equipment.
- Hand dig using shovels and mechanical tools.
- Install and maintain underground telecommunications cabling.
- Climb into and out of equipment such as trucks, backhoes, trenchers.
- Operate or work around heavy equipment and machinery.
- Work in congested or remote areas.
- Maintain visual and audible contact with team members and ensure safe coordination of movement.
- Perform general construction work under supervision.
- Flagging, property, or worksite restoration.
- Maintain safe working conditions according to all regulations, procedures, and policies.
Requirements:
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
- Basic knowledge of and ability to operate utility trucks and equipment safely.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and equipment.
- Effective communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Ability to work at least 8 hours per day, 5 days a week, with potential overtime, after-hours, weekends, or on-call duties.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
- At least 6 months of experience in utility construction.
- Ability to read utility maps and prints.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, crouch, sit, bend, reach, climb, balance, crawl, lift (up to 100 lbs), and perform physical tasks in various weather conditions.
- Work while wearing safety gear such as boots, glasses, and hardhat.
- Exposure to dust, fumes, or airborne pathogens possible.
