Summary

Responsible for general labor functions for cranberry marshes. Employee will perform manual work associated with planting, cultivating, irrigation, and harvesting of cranberries. The employee will also perform general care and upkeep of the ranch facilities and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performing duties as assigned on a daily basis by the Marsh Manager or Foreman.
• Executing efficient farming operations, including irrigation and frost watch, with oversight from the Marsh Manager or Foreman.
• Assisting other employees to perform their duties effectively.
• Reporting problems, successes, and other required reports promptly to the Marsh Manager.
• Following safety policies and procedures.
• Operation and maintenance of farming equipment used on the property with oversight from the Marsh Manager or Foreman.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in farming and equipment operation.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well with management and team members.
• Availability to work nights and/or weekends as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability with the company's commercial carrier.
• Preferred: Qualified Applicators License and First Aid Training.
• Completion of drug testing prior to start; adherence to drug and alcohol policies.

Physical Demands

• Outdoor work in all weather conditions.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, kneeling; occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Potential exposure to hazardous materials, heat, exhaust, or chemicals.
