Position Title: Laborer

Location: Whiting, WI

Description: Our Laborer supports Mativ’s Sustainable and Adhesive Solutions (SAS) team for Neenah Inc., a Mativ company (“Mativ”). This individual will support multiple departments by performing tasks such as assisting and/or operating paper mill equipment, including a variety of material handling equipment and tools. The mill operates 24/7, so candidates must be willing and able to work rotating shifts including nights, overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate personal safety awareness and promote a safe work environment
• Good mechanical and troubleshooting skills
• Solid computer skills
• Operate high-speed equipment after initial training
• Communicate effectively in team or self-directed environments
• Experience with paper machines, converting, or related processes is preferred but not required

Qualifications:

Required:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or GED
• Availability to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays, and overtime
• Ability to pass physical capabilities tests, drug/alcohol screening, and background checks

Preferred:

• Two-year technical degree is a plus

Position Demands:

Conditions are typical of a manufacturing environment, including:

• Varied air temperatures
• Presence of dust, fumes, and odors
• Potential hazards such as mechanical, electrical, chemical, explosive, and radiation risks

Employees must wear PPE including safety shoes, glasses, hearing protection, gloves, bump caps, and other gear as required.

Physical demands include:

• Lifting up to 50 pounds
• Pushing/pulling heavy objects
• Working 8-, 12-, or 16-hour shifts
• Repetitive tasks and physical mobility
• Visual and physical coordination requirements
