Job summary

Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for a Laborer at the Cox Creek Sediment Technology and Reuse Facility on Fort Armistead Road in Baltimore, MD. Responsibilities include janitorial functions, small repairs and maintenance, grass cutting, pesticide application, operation of vehicles, use of hand tools, power mowers & other small equipment.

Additionally, this position may be required to independently complete job-related errands including picking up parts, tools, and supplies.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a standard high school or GED, or completion of eighth grade plus one year of related work experience.
• Must have a valid driver's license with fewer than five points.
• Ability to pass a physical exam, lift up to 50 lbs, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Janitorial functions and general maintenance tasks.
• Grass cutting and grounds upkeep operations.
• Pesticide application as required.
• Operate vehicles, hand tools, power mowers and related small equipment.
• Independently run errands for parts, tools and supplies.
