Job summary

Maryland Environmental Service is seeking a Laborer at the Derwood, MD grinding operations facility to provide general maintenance support for ongoing operations and construction activities. The role supports the day-to-day maintenance tasks essential for safe and efficient facility performance.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED (or equivalent), possibly a valid driver’s license, and willingness to perform warehouse, janitorial, and related duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; or completion of eighth grade with one year of general work experience.
• May require a valid driver’s license with fewer than 5 points.
• Maintenance, warehouse, janitorial or related work experience is relevant.

Responsibilities

• Provide general maintenance support to operation and construction activities at the Derwood facility.
• Assist with grinding operations and facility upkeep to ensure safe, efficient performance.
• Support daily maintenance tasks and site housekeeping as needed.
