This position responsibilities include project management, technical oversight and compliance for deicing, stormwater, and sanitary related projects at BWI and Martin State Airports as well as providing support to other environmental projects, as needed.This field office is a designated 24/7 emergency essential facility. Therefore, the ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and during adverse weather conditions will be required.Estimated Pay Range:$70,193.76 – $96,532.80Benefits:Health Insurance with choice of medical plan and prescription, dental, vision, and life and disability insurance options, along with flexible spending accounts401K retirement savings program with generous agency matchPaid vacation, personal and sick leaveEleven paid holidays per yearTuition assistanceMinimum Requirements:Bachelors Degree in environmental science, engineering, ecology, biology, chemistry, geology or a related field from an accredited college or university plus five years of experience in environmental science, regulations, engineering or management, two years of which must have included responsibility managing environmental projects and supervising environmental professional and technical staff.The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and strong organization skills are essential to this position.The position consists primarily of field work and requires the ability to perform confined space entry and lift 50 pounds.Note: Applicants may substitute an applicable advanced education degree for up to two years of experience.Applicants must have the ability to obtain a Homeland Security Clearance and must have a valid driver’s license with less than 5 points.Preferred QualificationsThe preferred candidate will have project management and supervisory experience in the areas of environmental compliance, recycling, and field site operations; have demonstrated strong leadership, communication, budget and contract management skills, as well as the ability to independently work to provide oversight, planning, and financial management support on a wide range of environmental projects supporting numerous programs.
