Job summary

ARUP Laboratories, based in Salt Lake City, UT, seeks a Technologist Trainee to join the Automated Core Laboratory – 821. The role trains to independently operate as a limited license scientist and to progress toward ASCP certification within five years.

Under supervision, you will perform waived and automated tests, assist in calibration, QA, data entry, and SOP development while gaining broad laboratory experience and competency in analytical procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biological or chemical sciences with required science coursework.
• Possible submission of transcripts and credentials for evaluation.
• Note: education credentials may be reviewed to confirm eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Performs waived and automated analytic processes.
• Oversees calibration on self-calibrating instruments and performs calibration processes.
• Performs moderate and high complexity analytic processes under supervision.
• Maintains records and documentation of tests and results.
• Assists in training and SOP development and QA indicators.
