Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Educationally eligible for HT (ASCP) Certification: 60 semester hours biology/chem or Associate degree with biology/chem.

Responsibilities

• Performs selected moderate, and/or highly complex analytic processes under supervision.
• Recognizes abnormal results and reports them to Supervisors or pathologist.
• Operates histology instruments and maintains QC as required.
• Collects and handles specimens following SOPs and safety rules.
• Documents data accurately in the lab information system and meets turnaround times.
• Assists in training new employees and workflows.
• May act as Qualified Observer after two years of experience.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent

HT ASCP Certification eligibility (60 sem hrs biology/chem OR Associate degree with 12 sem hrs biology/chem)
