Job summary

ARUP Laboratories in Salt Lake City, UT, seeks a production/ reagent lab technologist to manufacture reagents and manage routine tasks in the Reagent Lab-Production area.

You will operate laboratory instruments, perform maintenance, document results, and support QA, with training and safety compliance. A Bachelor’s degree in biological/chemical sciences is required, with strong chemistry and biology coursework and prior lab experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biological/chemical sciences with required coursework.
• 23 science credits plus 3 physics, math, or statistics and 16 chemistry credits.
• Biology track requires 23 science credits and 16 biology-related credits.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture reagents and kits.
• Recognize and report abnormal results.
• Operate laboratory instruments and perform routine maintenance under supervision; maintain records and documentation.
• Perform new procedures with training as directed by supervisor.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area and manage reagents and supplies.
• Comply with safety and biohazard regulations.
