Job summary

Laboratory Technician position with Yoh, a Day & Zimmermann company, in the United States. The role performs laboratory testing and supports data recording, ensuring accuracy and compliance with quality, regulatory, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities include maintaining testing documentation, handling samples/reagents, and assisting with inventory and equipment care. Duties are split into 80% testing and 20% lab support, with extensive opportunities within a global staffing network.

• Ensure that all clinical data generated externally are compliant with Regulatory, SQO, and GCI internal requirements.
• Contribute to the evaluation of processes and procedures to improve unit metrics, quality, and accuracy of external data reported.
• Ensures adherence to all applicable quality, corporate, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Independently conducts more complex research activities in support of short- and long-term laboratory operational requirements.
• Any other related duties required by the research projects or management of the research laboratory or analytical facility.
• 80% Laboratory testing and support activities: routine and non-routine testing; maintenance of testing documentation; sample/reagent handling.
• 20% Lab support activities: housekeeping and maintenance; observe security and safety procedures; monitor inventory and arrange orders, receipt and delivery of reagents/equipment.

Job description

Laboratory Technician

Performs laboratory testing/support activities associated with a given project or task. Will be responsible for the accurate and timely recording of all data using specified formats. May be required to assist with the generation or revision of documentation associated with laboratory activities/processes or for monitoring, ordering, and/or receiving of laboratory supplies and reagents. Will perform general laboratory housekeeping, maintenance and care of instruments and equipment. Will ensure that corporate, quality, regulatory and safety procedures are always being observed and followed.

Responsibilities Breakdown

• Laboratory testing and support activities as assigned including:

• Lab support activities including, but not limited to:
  • Responsible for and/or performs lab and/or facility housekeeping and maintenance.
  • Ensures that security and safety procedures and protocols are observed and followed.
  • Monitors, maintains laboratory inventory; responsible for reagent/material orders, receipt and delivery of laboratory reagent/material and equipment.
