Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Manage receipt, storage, retrieval, distribution, shipment, and retention of stability samples per procedures.
  • Maintain accurate sample inventory and tracking in documentation systems for traceability.
  • Monitor stability storage environments and ensure proper temperature controls.
  • Coordinate maintenance, calibration, validation, and repairs of storage equipment.
  • Respond to alarms and excursions with proper documentation and escalation.
  • Perform inspections of storage areas to verify compliance and identify issues.
  • Ensure samples are handled and shipped per approved schedules and testing requirements.
  • Maintain GDP-compliant documentation and data integrity records.
  • Support investigations, CAPAs, and other quality activities related to stability samples.

Job description

Lab Technician – Stability Operations Position Summary The Lab Technician supports stability operations by ensuring the compliant handling, storage, tracking, and distribution of GMP and non-GMP stability samples. This role maintains accurate documentation, supports critical stability storage equipment, and performs activities in accordance with approved protocols, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the receipt, storage, retrieval, distribution, shipment, and retention of GMP and non-GMP stability samples in accordance with established procedures and stability protocols.
  • Maintain accurate sample inventory and tracking information within LIMS and other approved documentation systems to ensure data integrity and traceability.
  • Monitor stability storage environments and ensure samples are maintained under required temperature and environmental conditions.
  • Support the reliability and availability of stability chambers, refrigerators, freezers, and other critical storage equipment by coordinating routine maintenance, calibration, qualification/validation, and repairs.
  • Respond to equipment alarms, temperature excursions, and other storage-related events in accordance with established procedures, including appropriate documentation and escalation.
  • Perform routine inspections and checks of stability storage areas and equipment to verify compliance and identify potential issues.
  • Ensure stability samples are pulled, distributed, and shipped according to approved schedules, protocols, and testing requirements.
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and timely GMP documentation in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and data integrity requirements.
  • Support investigations, deviations, corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs), and other quality activities related to stability samples, storage conditions, or equipment, as assigned.
  • Assist with stability sample inventory reconciliation, retention activities, and disposition of samples according to approved procedures.
  • Support audit and inspection readiness by maintaining organized records, accurate sample inventories, and compliant storage areas.
  • Identify and support opportunities to improve the efficiency, reliability, and compliance of stability sample management processes.
  • Follow applicable GMP requirements, laboratory safety practices, SOPs, and site policies.
  • Perform other laboratory and stability-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree in a scientific discipline or related field preferred; equivalent laboratory, pharmaceutical, or regulated-industry experience may be considered.
  • Experience working in a GMP, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, laboratory, or similarly regulated environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with LIMS, sample management systems, and electronic documentation systems is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of GMP, Good Documentation Practices, data integrity principles, and controlled laboratory environments.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records and manage multiple samples and priorities.
  • Ability to follow written procedures and approved protocols consistently.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with laboratory, Quality, Facilities, Metrology, Validation, and other cross-functional teams.

Estimated Min Rate: $15.40

Estimated Max Rate: $22.00
