Job summary

HNL Lab Medicine in Allentown is seeking a dedicated laboratory support professional to assist with specimen processing and routine testing across several departments, under supervision of a technologist. The role emphasizes accurate data entry, SOP adherence, and timely reporting of results.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and at least two years in a clinical setting, with an AS degree or medical assistant training preferred; LIS proficiency and pipetting accuracy are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with clinical experience.
• Minimum of two years in a clinical setting handling specimens and data.
• AS degree preferred or equivalent education/experience.
• Graduate of health/medical assistant or similar training program.

Responsibilities

• Process and prepare specimens for transport and analysis.
• Perform moderate to simple testing under supervision and document results.
• Calibrate pipettes and thermometers and record data per SOPs.
• Assist in quality control, instrument troubleshooting, and CSI activities.
• Support multiple departments including Microbiology, Toxicology, and Pathology.
