About the role

ATCC, a leading nonprofit biological resources and standards organization, is seeking an administrative or operations individual to support our labs in an office setting at ATCC. The Labeling Lab Technician supports labeling operations onsite full time in Manassas, VA. This role is responsible for providing administrative lab support with a primary focus on ensuring accuracy in labeling content. Proficiency in the English language is required.

The Labeling Lab Technician supports laboratory operations by creating, printing, and applying labels to vials. Responsibilities include cross-training opportunities such as assembling kits for production orders and managing lab supplies.

Responsibilities

1. Administrative Operations: Prepare and ensure accurate labeling content. Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP). Maintain inventory and perform minor troubleshooting of labeling instruments.
2. Documentation: Make detailed observations, document results neatly in databases or paper records, and keep logs to support decision making.
3. Manufacturing Lab Support: Cross-train in kitting, media, and glassware operations to support manufacturing.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and 2-5 years of experience or equivalent.
• Basic computer and Microsoft proficiency.
• Proficiency in English required.
• Prior administrative or coordinator experience preferred; lab experience not required.
• High attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
• Knowledge of labeling software and data entry preferred.
• Ability to work as part of a team, exercise judgment, and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Must be able to accurately apply labels to vials.
