Job summary

Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts' Department of Biology seeks a part-time Laboratory Technician to support the Preparation, Cleanup, and Organization of teaching labs in North Adams, MA. This temporary role requires a Bachelor's degree or higher and offers 7.5 hours per week through December 19, 2026, with either 1 day of 7.5 hours or 2 days of 3.75 hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher required.
• Experience in a laboratory making stock solutions preferred.
• Previous college-level experience preparing labs strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares various culture media and chemical solution stocks following standard written laboratory formulae and procedures
• Set up laboratory equipment as prescribed in lab prep notes
• Clean up and organize equipment and supplies after laboratory exercises are complete
• Clean glassware and sterilize biological waste
• Reset lab exercises between sections, as needed
