Job summary

Natera is seeking a Laboratory Assistant I to support specimen intake, preparation and workflow coordination in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

The role emphasizes accurate data entry, organization of samples, and collaboration with licensed staff to ensure timely testing and adherence to privacy and quality standards. Training on HIPAA/PHI and internal policies is required within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; science-related degree preferred for advancement.
• HIPAA/PHI privacy, policy compliance and security training must be completed within 30 days of hire.
• Less than 1 year of industry-related experience preferred.
• Comfort with laboratory workflows and documentation processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed staff in preparing specimens for testing.
• Receive and deliver specimens to appropriate workflows or labs.
• Maintain organization of samples in physical and electronic storage.
• Enter patient data into LIMS accurately.
• Prepare samples for shipment and manage inventory and supplies.
