Job summary

Natera in San Carlos, CA is seeking a Laboratory Assistant I to handle specimen reception and processing with independent judgment. You will assist licensed staff, manage samples, and ensure timely workflow through the lab while maintaining PHI privacy and data accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Science-related degree preferred.
• Less than 1 year of industry-related experience preferred.
• HIPAA/PHI privacy and security training within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed staff in preparing specimens for testing.
• Receive and deliver specimens to appropriate workflows.
• Enter patient data into the LIMS accurately.
• Prepare samples for shipment and manage sample storage.
• Maintain lab inventory and cleanliness of benches.
• Escalate issues to lead or supervisor promptly.
