Job summary

SGS, a global leader in inspection, verification, testing and certification services, is seeking a Laboratory Technician in New Jersey. You will perform routine lab tests on consumer products, prepare and digest samples, and coordinate submission for chemistry testing while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.

You will follow SOPs, assist with inventory, QA/QC checks, and documentation, with opportunities for growth in a regulated laboratory environment.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in chemistry or related science; safety-focused lab experience appreciated.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree or higher in related sciences.
• Proficient with basic MS Office applications and ability to read and follow SOPs and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine laboratory testing following SOPs and methods.
• Prepares samples, conducts extractions and digests for consumer product testing.
• Coordinates samples for Chemistry testing and ensures sufficient quantity for tests.
• Performs QA/QC checks on equipment and maintains a clean, safe workspace.
• Complies with PPE requirements and internal policies.
