Job summary

SGS Dayton, NJ laboratory is seeking a Lab Analyst to join the General Chemistry team. You will prepare and analyze samples, ensuring accuracy and adhering to SGS analytical SOPs.

The role requires independent work and collaboration to meet daily targets and uphold safety standards. Qualifications include an Associate or Bachelor degree in Chemistry with relevant lab experience, English proficiency, and ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Chemistry or similar science; 0–2 years in analytical chemistry or 3 years relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry preferred; 1–2 years of relevant experience in analytical chemistry laboratories.
• Gas Chromatography experience preferred.
• Advanced English language skills required.
• Basic reasoning and mathematical skills required.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Ability to lift/carry/push and/or pull up to 25 lbs on a frequent basis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze samples according to SGS SOPs using department instruments.
• Perform routine operation, maintenance, calibration of laboratory instruments.
• Assist with validation and LOQ studies.
• Assist with investigations and responses to client inquiries and CAPs.
• Input and maintain technical information to support laboratory operations.
• Maintain Laboratory Notebook where applicable.
• Adhere to internal standards, policies and procedures.
