Job summary

SGS is seeking an analytical chemistry professional for a hands-on laboratory role in New Jersey. You will prepare and analyze samples following SGS SOPs, operate and calibrate instruments, and support MDL studies and client inquiries.

Team-oriented environment with opportunities across PFAS, volatile, metals, air, and general chemistry departments. The position requires an associate degree in chemistry, 0–2 years in analytical labs (or 3 years in sample prep) and may prefer a bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a chemistry or similar scientific discipline is required or preferred.
• 0–2 years of experience in analytical chemistry labs or 3 years in sample prep is required.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in analytical chemistry labs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze samples according to SGS SOPs using department instrumentation.
• Perform routine operation, maintenance, and calibration of lab instruments/equipment.
• Assist with validation and MDL studies as needed.
• Assist with investigations and responses to client inquiries and CARs.
