Job Description

Conduct chemical and physical laboratory tests to assist scientists in making qualitative and quantitative analyses of solids, liquids, and gaseous materials for research and development of new products or processes, quality control, maintenance of environmental standards, and other work involving experimental, theoretical, or practical application of chemistry and related sciences.

Primary Responsibilities

• Optimize lab procedures and produce reliable results that contribute to meaningful outcomes.
• Handle sensitive equipment to analyze samples or substances and report findings to a laboratory manager.
• Receive, label, and analyze samples (blood, toxic, tissue, etc.).
• Design and execute laboratory tests following standard procedures, observe, and interpret findings.
• Conduct experiments under defined conditions to verify or reject hypotheses using scientific methods.
• Organize and store chemicals, fluids, and gases safely.
• Accurately record all data and results in specified formats.
• Maintain equipment and assist in ordering laboratory supplies.
• Follow safety guidelines strictly and maintain a clean environment.

Education and Skills

• Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of laboratory techniques, equipment, terminology, materials, and substances.
• Skilled in using laboratory equipment, performing statistical calculations, and preparing reports.
