Job summary

Christie Clinic’s Laboratory department is seeking a full-time EKG Technician/Phlebotomist at the University clinic in Champaign, IL 61820. The role is 1st shift, Monday–Friday 7:00am–6:00pm with possible Saturdays 8:00am–12:00pm.

Occasional travel to other clinic locations may be required to support laboratory operations. Responsibilities include phlebotomy and EKG testing per established standards, maintaining records, auditing lab safety, and managing supplies.

Qualifications

• Requires high school or equivalent.
• Completion of phlebotomy and EKG course, or one year of experience.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture for all age groups.
• Perform EKGs.
• Conduct lab safety audits.
• Manage general lab supplies inventory.
• Maintain lab records and files.
• Perform related work as required.
• Train new personnel when needed.
• Possible travel to other lab locations; mileage reimbursed after approval.
