Christie Clinic is seeking a full-time EKG Technician/Phlebotomist at the Medical Hills clinic in Bloomington, IL. The role runs Monday through Friday, 7:30am–5:00pm, with possible travel to other clinic locations to support the laboratory department.

Responsibilities include venipuncture across all ages, performing EKGs, lab safety audits, inventory management, and maintaining records. CPR certification is required; phlebotomy/EKG training completed is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent required.
• Completion of phlebotomy and EKG course (or 1 year of related experience).
• CPR certification required.

Christie Clinic's department of Laboratory is seeking a full-time EKG Technician/Phlebotomist at the Medical Hills clinic in Bloomington between the hours of Monday-Friday 7:30am-5:00pm. This position may require occasional travel to other clinics to support the laboratory department.

Job Qualifications and Expectations

JOB DUTIES: (This list may not include all of the duties assigned.)

• Perform venipuncture, for all age groups
• Perform EKGs
• Perform Lab safety audits
• Inventory Management of general lab supplies
• Maintain lab records and files
• Perform related work as required.
• Train new personnel, if needed
• Potential for travel to other lab locations. Mileage will be reimbursed after employee submits to supervisor.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school or equivalent.
• Completion of phlebotomy and EKG course (Can be substituted by one year’s experience)
• CPR

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1 year: EKG Technician/Phlebotomy

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Demands include sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, stretching and lifting up to 35 pounds. Hearing within, or correctable to, normal range, vision correctable to 20/20 and manual dexterity for the operation of office equipment is required.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is performed in a laboratory setting with possible exposure to communicable diseases and electric hazards. Requirements may include working irregular hours.
