Christie Clinic's department of Laboratory is seeking a full-time EKG Technician/Phlebotomist at the Windsor clinic in Champaign with varied hours between Monday-Friday 7:00am-6:00pm, with occasional Saturdays from 8:00am-12:00pm. This position may require occasional travel to other clinics to support the laboratory department.

Job Qualifications and Expectations

JOB DUTIES:

• Perform venipuncture, for all age groups


• Perform EKGs


• Perform Lab safety audits


• Inventory Management of general lab supplies


• Maintain lab records and files


• Perform related work as required.


• Train new personnel, if needed


• Potential for travel to other lab locations. Mileage will be reimbursed after employee submits to supervisor.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school or equivalent.


• Completion of phlebotomy and EKG course (Can be substituted by one year’s experience)


• CPR

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1 year: EKG Technician/Phlebotomy

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Demands include sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, stretching and lifting up to 35 pounds. Hearing within, or correctable to, normal range, vision correctable to 20/20 and manual dexterity for the operation of office equipment is required.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is performed in a laboratory setting with possible exposure to communicable diseases and electric hazards. Requirements may include working irregular hours.
