Job summary

ATI is seeking a Lab Technician 6 (Machinist) for our lab department in our Monroe, NC facility. Qualified candidates must be self-motivated, able to work as a team, understand and follow work instructions, multi-task, and show attention to detail. This is a night shift position from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am, working on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule.

Training will take place on day shift. You will perform chemistry preparation, metallography, sample sawing & machining, and operate precision equipment

Qualifications

• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping.
• Ability to read measuring tapes accurately.
• Ability to read and follow written procedures and work instructions.

This is a night shift position from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am, working on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule. You will work 2 days, have 2 days off, work 3 days; then 2 days off, work 2 days, then have 3 days off. Training will take place on day shift.

SAMPLE SAWING & MACHINING OPERATE ABRASIVE SAWS TO CUT A VARIETY OF TEST SAMPLES ACCORDING TO DRAWINGS AND STANDARD PLANS; SET-UP AND OPERATE LATHE, CYLINDRICAL AND SURFACE GRINDERS, MILLING MACHINE, BROADER, DRILL PRESS AND OTHER MACHINE TOOLS
