Job summary

Actalent in Austin, TX is seeking a temporary Laboratory Assistant for 8-10 weeks, with potential for full-time. The role supports lab operations, maintains workflow, and relieves senior staff on busy days.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, with a lunch break. You will handle hazardous waste disposal, manage samples (including stool samples) per GLP, operate standard lab equipment, and help keep the GLP environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in machine operation/assembly
• Warehouse experience

Responsibilities

• Assist in the disposal of hazardous waste within a laboratory environment.
• Handle samples, including stool samples, in compliance with laboratory standards.
• Operate general laboratory equipment, such as centrifuges, manual and automated pipettes, and audible alarms.
• Support the lab operations team in maintaining a Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) environment.
• Adapt to a high-volume workload and pivot to more urgent tasks as they arise.
