Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Lab Operations Assistant in Hamilton, MA to support daily lab activities, manage incoming sample vials, and maintain accurate inventory across the lab operations team. You will assist scientists with media preparation and use SAP and ERP tools to document supplies in line with GLP and GMP standards.

In this onsite role, you will follow Quality SOPs, ensure proper labeling and storage, and help keep the laboratory organized and compliant.

Qualifications

• Experience with inventory management in a laboratory setting.
• Hands-on sample handling, labeling and storage.
• Media preparation and reagent handling per SOPs.
• Familiarity with GMP/GLP requirements and QA practices.
• Ability to use SAP and ERP systems to track supplies and documentation.
• Understanding GLP documentation processes and requirements.
• Associate Degree with 12 years of documentation experience aligned with GLP.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in sample handling and inventory.

Responsibilities

• Receive, organize, and manage sample vials as they arrive, ensuring labeling, tracking, and storage.
• Maintain and run inventory across the lab operations team for materials, reagents, and supplies.
• Perform quality inspections to ensure materials meet SOPs and GMP standards.
• Support scientists by preparing media and reagents per procedures and timelines.
• Use SAP and ERP systems to manage supplies, including ordering and updating records.
• Follow GLP, GMP, and Quality SOPs in all documentation and activities.
• Maintain accurate and compliant documentation for inventory and lab processes.
• Collaborate with staff to understand operational needs and provide timely support.
• Identify issues with inventory or sample quality and communicate to the team.
• Contribute to a clean, organized, and safe lab environment.
