Job summary

UVM Health - UVM Medical Center is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to partner with management in overseeing daily operations within the Laboratory division, ensuring accuracy and quality. The role emphasizes personnel management, onboarding, scheduling, and compliance with accreditation bodies, as well as budget input, staff development, and exceptional customer service.

The Supervisor also guides laboratory test maintenance and LIS upkeep while fostering teaching and effective communication

Qualifications

• Four years of clinical or anatomical laboratory experience, or three years with a master's degree or specialist certification.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant science field with training in high complexity testing.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Manager in fulfilling division responsibilities and overseeing daily operations.
• Lead personnel management, orientation, goal setting, scheduling, and staff development.
• Ensure compliance with CAP, FDA, AABB, NYS, Joint Commission, OSHA, and EPA requirements.
• Oversee laboratory test maintenance and LIS maintenance.
