Job summary

Banner Health's Sonora Quest Laboratories/Laboratory Sciences of Arizona seeks a laboratory supervisor to organize, direct, and control workflow for the section, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective services in a dynamic diagnostics environment.

Reporting directly to the director/manager, this role oversees 10 to 40 technical staff, hires and trains personnel, and supervises expenditures while maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology.
• Four (4) years’ training and experience in high-complexity testing in the respective specialty.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science.

Responsibilities

• Hires, trains, conducts performance evaluations, and supervises the workflow for staff.
• Oversees department expenditures to stay in line with annual budget requirements.
• Oversees work schedule and daily activities of department staff.
