Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor responsible for staff orientation, training, and competency assessments under the direction of the Chemistry Laboratory Manager and Medical Director. The role includes daily supervision of personnel, planning duties, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

Qualified candidates will have 3–5 years of clinical lab experience, 1–2 years of supervisory experience, and ASCP-BOC certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree Medical Technology required or Bachelor’s Degree Laboratory Sciences required
• ASCP-BOC certification required
• Clinical lab experience 3-5 years required and Supervisory experience 1-2 years preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision of technical, clerical, and service employees.
• Plan, organize, delineate, and schedule duties of Laboratory staff with Lab Manager.
• Assist other technologists with technical problems and interpretation of results.
• Determine work priorities to ensure timely completion of tests.
• Ensure inventory levels and maintain SOP manuals and required records.
