Job Title: Laboratory Supervisor at Patient First

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Following laboratory procedures for specimen collection, handling, processing, test analysis, reporting, and record maintenance; adhering to quality control policies.
• Coordinating instrument maintenance and calibrations.
• Documenting quality control activities, calibrations, and maintenance.
• Identifying indicators affecting test performance or reporting and taking corrective actions or notifying the Lab Director.
• Understanding and performing all duties on the related checklists.
• Ensuring proper laboratory ordering and testing.
• Adhering to safety policies as per Patient First and OSHA standards.
• Providing positive customer service and fostering teamwork.
• Completing other duties as assigned.

Minimum requirements:

• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Keyboarding experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Preferred: One year of clerical and clinical experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree with 6 years of relevant experience or an associate degree in a related science with clinical rotations or military medical laboratory training.
• Preferred: Certification as a Medical Technologist or Laboratory Technician by ASCP or similar agency.
