The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Riverview

• AdventHealth is expanding its medical expertise, innovation, and state-of-the-art technology to southern Hillsborough County through a new hospital in Riverview, scheduled to open in 2024.
• The new AdventHealth Riverview hospital will include 82 beds at opening, with space to expand to 202 beds in the future.
• This $250 million project also includes a 100,000 square foot, four-story Medical Office Building providing community members with convenient access to care.
• AdventHealth Riverview will offer emergency, cardiovascular, digestive, urology, orthopedic, and women’s care services.

The role you’ll contribute:

The Laboratory Supervisor manages aspects of laboratory processes or shifts, including workflow, quality control, procedure review, performance improvement, training, advanced problem solving, equipment or computer maintenance, and other assigned tasks. Assists leadership in meeting departmental goals. Typically involves analytical testing of blood and biological specimens, requiring significant expertise. Pre- and post-analytical processes and on-call hours may be included. Ensures laboratory policies are followed and maintains quality control. Participates in customer service and maintains respectful relationships.

• Manages quality assessment, technical oversight, problem solving, scheduling, hiring, coaching, and training
• Oversees staff performance and competency evaluations

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology
• Three years of clinical laboratory experience
• Licensure in appropriate specialties for licensed states or national certification (ASCP, AAB, AMT) in non-licensure states
