What you will do in this role:
  • Supervise technical and/or non-technical laboratory personnel and daily operations in assigned areas/shifts to achieve organization and regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise personnel, processes, service levels, regulatory compliance, and service levels in assigned areas with functional responsibilities in technical discipline areas such as department licenses, specimen collection, processing, and referral testing.
  • Responsible for achieving department goals for service, quality, regulatory compliance, financial performance, personnel management, patient satisfaction, healthy work environment, and integration of intra- and inter-departmental activities.
  • Demonstrate skills required to supervise, teach and motivate staff.
  • Review and approve payroll timesheets, purchasing requisitions, check requests, and scheduling requests.
Qualifications you will need:
  • 4-year Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology required.
  • 5 years’ experience as a Medical Technologist.
  • State of Florida Supervisor License in all 5 specialty areas or ability to obtain.
