Job summary

Regions Hospital Laboratory is seeking a professional, quality-focused Laboratory Service Technician to join our team. The Lab Services Technician will provide a wide range of laboratory services including specimen collection, laboratory testing, phlebotomy, specimen processing, and dispatching.

This position will also serve as a resource for questions from hospital and clinic staff regarding specimen handling and processing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Health care experience to include phlebotomy.
• Completion of a health care program (e.g. CMA, EMT, Paramedic, phlebotomy).

Responsibilities

• Specimen collection and processing.
• Client service and reception duties, scheduling and billing functions.
• Laboratory testing and phlebotomy.
• Dispatching and centrifuging of specimens.
• Delivery of specimens to appropriate lab/department.
• Support questions on specimen handling and processing.
