Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months clinical phlebotomy training, OR two years experience in specimen collection and processing.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Good communication skills (written and oral).
• Dexterity and visual ability to locate veins.

Responsibilities

• Handle laboratory data collection systems and ensure orders, cancellations and charges.
• Perform specimen collection for inpatients and outpatients.
• Prepare and distribute specimens from patients.

Education

Phlebotomy training program

Two-year degree in chemical, physical, or biological science or health-related specialty
